Commercial Roof Replacement In Pittsburgh, PA

We had three roofing companies come out to give us a quote. After having a lengthy and educational discussion with Brock McClelland, we decided to go with McClellands Contracting and Roofing. Brock talked about the proper method of having a roofing system installed and not just replacing shingles. We had an attic fan that was no longer working and requested a ridge vent to be installed in its place. Unknowingly, we thought the ridge vent would solve the problem of having excessive heat on the second floor and in the attic. Brock pointed out that the soffit wasn't open to the attic space, resulting in zero airflow. With their system, they would install intake vents about 2-3 feet from the gutters to allow fresh air to enter and then exit out the ridge vent. Brock also recommended sealing off the gable vents so any air coming in those access points wouldn't dirty up the airflow. Rob Stevens, our Project Manager, was awesome. He contacted us to set up a day and time that worked for us, had his crew on-site at 7:00am, thoroughly reviewed the project, double checked that all of the materials were delivered including the correct shingles, and suggested painting the roof vent pipes and chimney cap so they matched the flashing and drip edges. The crew worked hard all day in some extreme temperatures. They protected the property from debris, cleaned up like they were never there, and replaced yard decorations and landscape lighting. If that wasn't good enough, Rob returned the next morning and personally wiped down the gutters to give that final touch to complete the job. All of that being said, if you are looking for a respectful, responsible, detail focused, knowledgeable, and hard-working company and team to work on you next project, we would HIGHLY recommend McClellands Contracting and Roofing. Our roof was just completed, and we are very happy with the results. Brock suggested the roof color that he thought would look best, and he was right, it looks beautiful on our home! Brock and our project manager, Rob were great to work with, answering any and all questions and concerns that we had throughout the process. Best of all, our new shingles will prevent algae from growing, and the technique they used to install our roof will create better air flow in our attic!

Devin and his guys showed up on time, worked HARD all day for three days to get my roof done. I have a steep driveway and yard as well as my roof, so they had to carry everything. I had gutters, downspouts and viral siding installed so they were busy the entire time. Would use them again, but the guarantee is so good, I won’t have to. These guys are good.

I want to commend McClellands Contracting and Roofing, and employee Dan Apitsch. I called for an estimate after I noticed fascia had pulled away from under my box gutter in 3 of 4 corners of my house. Mr. Apitsch met me at my house and I showed him the problem areas. He asked when my box gutters were last painted and said he would inspect them while he was examining the fascia. Later in the day Mr. Apitsch contacted me to tell me that he went ahead and tacked down the fascia at no cost. He told me the gutter liner did not need painting. He said there are a few seams that need to be resealed and he would send me an estimate. I have been treated poorly by many contractors. Nobody has ever done anything free of charge. Most of the contractors I have worked with would have convinced me the box gutters needed to be painted and would have turned this into a big expensive job. I am grateful to Mr. Apitsch and McClellands for their kindness and honesty and look forward to completing my little job. I expect this to be the beginning of a great relationship as I have a number of projects ahead of me.

I cannot say enough about McClellands Contracting and Roofing. I first had the owner, Brock, out to a house I’m renting and trying to buy. He spent 45 mins with me and gave me a full education about my roof and what I needed. He explained the product they used and most importantly, he explained the need for proper ventilation. When he left, I felt like I really knew a lot more than I ever did about roofs. That house fell through and I bought a different one and he squeezed me into his schedule within 2 days to come to the new house. I also went to their shop to look at samples and he again spent time going over things with me. I had 3 other estimates and NONE of them talked to me more than 2-3 mins and not one mentioned ventilation. McClellands was competitive in pricing, but that did not sell me. Brock clearly knows his stuff and is laser focused on his business which is clearly his passion. The Forman on the job, Vince, was also great. I went the morning of install and he kept me informed throughout the day, inc some unexpected findings. When the job was done, he went over everything with me. I’m as pretty picky customer and I can’t say enough about McClelland’s. If you need a roof or other work, call them. You WON’T be disappointed.

Brock was our sales rep. He was very knowledgeable and made recommendations for ventilation to improve air circulation. He notice that a bathroom exhaust fan was not to the manufacturer’s specifications and included the rerouting of the vent. He also sent out a crew to do a temporary repair on our existing boot so I didn’t have to worry about any leaks while waiting for the new roof to be installed. Our project manager Vince was great. He made sure that all the work was completed to not just his satisfaction, but mine as well. We had a new roof, gutters, and downspouts installed. Vince and his crew went above and beyond to make sure that every part of the job was done professionally with unmatched workmanship. I am 100% satisfied and work highly recommend McClelland’s.

McClellan did a great job for me with some front of house water leakage problems and, so, when the back side of the roof needed attention, they were the people I called. I live in a HOA, So it’s important that the people I use meet expectations and can match standards already set. Big job, small job, they seem happy to help homeowners with it all with the same prompt, experienced attention.

McClelland's Roofing just completed installing a new roof and gutters on our home and we could not be happier with the results and the process. This was a large, difficult job, 58 square of roofing with a lot of hips, ridges, and cornice returns. The crew worked on the hottest days on record to complete the job. They were polite, professional, paid attention to detail, and were good workers. They even had people whose job was to continuously clean around the house so trash did not accumulate. Kudos to: Rick Dunder- Sales- who explained the contract in detail what we would be receiving Nick- Operations- came out to the house before work started and explained the process on what was going to happen, and arranged the material and dumpster deliveries. Special Kudos to Rob Stevens, our Project Mgr, who found a balance for the workers dealing with the heat, kept me continually updated with aerial photos, and went above and beyond to see that we were happy and the job was perfect. When the work was finished, you couldn't even tell that they were here. Would definitely recommend McClelland's for your roofing and gutter needs.

I had a great experience with McClellands. Nick and his team were extremely professional and easy to work with. He also took the time to ensure there were no leaks inside the house since it rained during the roof replacement. The job site was cleaned up well and the roof looks great. I would recommend them to anyone needing a new roof in the Pittsburgh area.

We just had our roof replaced and we could not be happier, from the Salesman Rick to the Project Manager Rob, to the office staff and the workers who installed the material.
