We HIGHLY recommend McClelland Roofing!! Not only were they thoughtful and patient with all our questions before the work, their crew was amazing. We have full landscaping around the house and I do not exaggerate when I say that absolutely nothing was damaged. I highly recommend working with McClellands Contracting & Roofing. Our roof sustained major damage during the May storm in Pittsburgh, and I called McClellands based on the reviews, which were all glowing. Well, they weren’t kidding! They responded to my request very timely considering all the damage that storm left in its wake. Nate came out and gave us an estimate, and worked with my insurance company for me to make sure all the damage would be covered. Nate was very nice, highly professional and a pleasure to work with. When the time came to replace the roof, Rob contacted me to give me all the details so there were no surprises. His crew was on time, and worked super hard all day to finish the job. They were very cognizant of my outdoor belongings and cleaned everything up. You wouldn’t have even known they were there except for the new beautiful roof. Rob communicated with me throughout the day and was also a pleasure to work with. If I ever need another roof, fingers crossed I won’t for a long while, I will 100% work with them again.

I had 4 roofers out for inspection/quotes and only one gave me the time to educate me on what is needed - McClelland’s. The owner of the company, Brock, came out for my quote. It was not just a sales or upsell attempt. At the end, I learned about roofs, the pitfalls of improper installation and the significance of proper ventilation. From the point on, the process was informative and professional. Job foreman Vince and his crew were great. On the day of the installation, Vince kept me in the loop all day and sent me pictures. We had McClelland’s roofing company, put up a new portion of a roof above our deck, along with new shingles and gutters and downspouts. Vince, our project manager, was wonderful. He took all of our questions and concerns into consideration and took care of all of them! We were very pleased with the final product.

From the start, David Hawkins, the sales associate, was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. He promptly contacted me, assessed the damage, and took detailed pictures. David set clear expectations and walked me through the entire process, making it stress-free. The installation team, consisting of Jacob, Mike, and Peter, demonstrated exceptional diligence and skill. We had three roofing companies come out to give us a quote. After having a lengthy and educational discussion with Brock McClelland, we decided to go with McClellands Contracting and Roofing. Brock talked about the proper method of having a roofing system installed and not just replacing shingles. We had an attic fan that was no longer working and requested a ridge vent to be installed in its place. Unknowingly, we thought the ridge vent would solve the problem of having excessive heat on the second floor and in the attic. Brock pointed out that the soffit wasn't open to the attic space, resulting in zero airflow. With their system, they would install intake vents about 2-3 feet from the gutters to allow fresh air to enter and then exit out the ridge vent. Brock also recommended sealing off the gable vents so any air coming in those access points wouldn't dirty up the airflow. Rob Stevens, our Project Manager, was awesome. He contacted us to set up a day and time that worked for us, had his crew on-site at 7:00am, thoroughly reviewed the project, double checked that all of the materials were delivered including the correct shingles, and suggested painting the roof vent pipes and chimney cap so they matched the flashing and drip edges. The crew worked hard all day in some extreme temperatures. They protected the property from debris, cleaned up like they were never there, and replaced yard decorations and landscape lighting. If that wasn't good enough, Rob returned the next morning and personally wiped down the gutters to give that final touch to complete the job. All of that being said, if you are looking for a respectful, responsible, detail focused, knowledgeable, and hard-working company and team to work on you next project, we would HIGHLY recommend McClellands Contracting and Roofing. You will not be disappointed.

Our roof was just completed, and we are very happy with the results. Brock suggested the roof color that he thought would look best, and he was right, it looks beautiful on our home! Brock and our project manager, Rob were great to work with, answering any and all questions and concerns that we had throughout the process. Best of all, our new shingles will prevent algae from growing, and the technique they used to install our roof will create better air flow in our attic!

Devin and his guys showed up on time, worked HARD all day for three days to get my roof done. I have a steep driveway and yard as well as my roof, so they had to carry everything. I had gutters, downspouts and viral siding installed so they were busy the entire time. Would use them again, but the guarantee is so good, I won’t have to. These guys are good.

I cannot say enough about McClellands Contracting and Roofing. I first had the owner, Brock, out to a house I’m renting and trying to buy. He spent 45 mins with me and gave me a full education about my roof and what I needed. He explained the product they used and most importantly, he explained the need for proper ventilation. When he left, I felt like I really knew a lot more than I ever did about roofs. That house fell through and I bought a different one and he squeezed me into his schedule within 2 days to come to the new house. I also went to their shop to look at samples and he again spent time going over things with me. I had 3 other estimates and NONE of them talked to me more than 2-3 mins and not one mentioned ventilation. McClellands was competitive in pricing, but that did not sell me. Brock clearly knows his stuff and is laser focused on his business which is clearly his passion. The Forman on the job, Vince, was also great. I went the morning of install and he kept me informed throughout the day, inc some unexpected findings. When the job was done, he went over everything with me. I’m as pretty picky customer and I can’t say enough about McClelland’s. If you need a roof or other work, call them. You WON’T be disappointed.
